Brittany Bland

Brittany Bland is a projection designer working from both New York City and Philadelphia. She has designed across theatre, dance, opera, and live events. Through her work, she continues to expand the language of projection design, viewing it as a conduit for empathy and reflection. 


Brittany has collaborated with national and international institutions, including the Alliance Theatre, Arena Stage, American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.), Berkeley Repertory Theatre, Perelman Performing Arts Center, Public Theater, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, and Yale Repertory Theatre. Her notable credits include Milo Imagines the World (Alliance Theatre), Death on the Nile (Arena Stage), Scat! The Complex Lives of Al & Dot, Dot & Al Zollar (Urban Bush Women), Twelfth Night (Classical Theatre of Harlem, NYT Critics Pick), and A Dozen Dreams (En Garde Arts, NYT Critics Pick).
 

Brittany is honored to have her work celebrated with several nominations, including a Suzy Bass nomination (Milo Imagines the World), a Henry Hewes Design Award nomination (Amani & Twelfth Night), a Drama League nomination, and a NY Emmy nomination (Wild: These Walls Can Talk). She is a recipient of the 1/52 Project Grant and the New York Stage and Film NEXUS Award. Brittany holds an M.F.A. from the Yale School of Drama.
